Burns, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
Burns is one of the most difficult and demanding conditions in the pediatric practices. It requires a multidisciplinary team effort including Pediatric, Plastic surgical, Nutritional, Psychological and Physiotherapy inputs. Lotus Children's Hospital being a tertiary level referral center caters to a large number of children with varying severity of burns.
Plastic surgery is also offered to the conditions where an accident, birth defect or illness has caused a serious wound, scar, disfigurement or deformity in a child. At Lotus, there have been remarkable results with the medical and surgical treatment of conditions like treatment of cleft lip and palate, craniofacial defects and complications from traumatic injury are concerned.
